Venterskroon

Venterskroon - This hamlet situated in the North West province between Parys and Potchefstroom. This village was founded on the farm Rooderand and named after the owner Pieter Albert Venter.  This lies within the Vredefort dome. It was a tent town with miners in search of gold.
