Parys
Parys was laid out on the farm Klipspruit and proclaimed in 1882. It became a municipality in 1887. It was named after Paris in France in Afrikaans form.

Railway Station

Railway Station -This building was erected in 1930. This was on a branch line from Vredefort to Dover (mainline Bloemfontein to Germiston). The line is no longer in use. The building is in ruins.

Old Magistrate Building – This building was built soon after the ABW. A part was used in 1907 by the South African Constabulary. It now serves as a museum.
