Groenvlei German Lutheran Church
Groenvlei German Lutheran Church – off the R82 between Sasolburg and Koppies – on the R723 – It got its name from the farm Groenvlei, also known as Krause’s gift. The building was erected in 1921. Nearby is a cemetery of some German setler members. The first church service was conducted by Wilhelm Krause. The reminder of German is the marking of the toilet doors “Damen” and “Herren”.
