WASBANK NATAL
Taken its name from the Wasbank River. It is believed that the name originated from the flat stones in the river which was used for washing by Zoeloe females.
Maria Ratschitz mission station
Maria Ratschitz mission station – The mission station was built by Trappist monks in 1886. The monks were from the village Ratscitz in Tseggo Slovakia. The cornerstone of the main church was laid in 1905.
